Matthew Lamb
Matthew Lamb is an infectious disease epidemiologist, implementation scientist, and statistician with over fifteen years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and conducting evaluations and research in resource-limited settings. He is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University, and a Senior Epidemiologist within the Strategic Information unit of ICAP-Columbia University. His research largely focuses on assessing the effectiveness and impact of public health implementations in resource-constrained settings, and is an expert at designing and conducting evaluations of program effectiveness. As a teacher and mentor, Lamb currently co-leads the Research Methods and Applications studio and since 2013 has taught Quantitative Foundations in Public Health to all first-year MPH students. Since 2018 he has also taught two additional classes in the Department of Epidemiology: Application of Epidemiologic Research methods and Advanced Techniques in Epidemiologic Methods (the terminal methods class for PhD students in Epidemiology). Lamb has extensive experience in using available data to conduct rigorous program evaluations.
