Cristiane Costa
Cristiane Costa brings more than 20 years of experience designing and managing complex global development programs. As CWP’s Chief Operating Officer, she focuses on transforming organizational vision into growth and impact. Prior to joining CWP, Cristiane served as Senior Director of Strategies and Partnerships at ICAP at Columbia University. There, she established and led the Strategies and Partnerships unit to ensure ICAP’s competitive positioning as a global health leader. In her role, she oversaw the development and execution of ICAP’s organizational strategy, cultivated unique partnership models, and established a best-in-class new business development framework that resulted in a diversified and expanded global portfolio. She also led the design and implementation of numerous ICAP-wide systems that optimized technology to ensure sustainable organizational growth and development. In addition, she played a critical role in transforming and optimizing ICAP’s brand and communications strategy to maximize growth. Before establishing the Strategies and Partnerships unit in 2012, she held various program leadership and management roles at ICAP, supporting several country teams to implement a diverse portfolio of health projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining ICAP in 2005, Cristiane worked for the Global AIDS Program at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supporting initiatives to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Ms. Costa holds an MPA in Advanced Management and Finance and an MS in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University.
