Sara contributed to the project from 2021-2022 as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Columbia Water Center.  She completed her Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University in the department of Engineering in Public Policy. Her research focuses on long-term infrastructure planning for water infrastructure using optimization and statistical modeling techniques. Prior to completing her doctorate, she worked as an environmental engineer, involved in the planning, design, and evaluation of wastewater infrastructure and advanced treatment plants in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. She continues to collaborate with the project team in her role at Rand Corporation.
