
Lisa Dolberry Hancock
Lisa Dolberry Hancock is the Director of Experiential Learning and Innovation at Columbia World Projects where she directs initiatives designed to develop and empower emerging social change leaders and foster the exchange of ideas about innovative approaches to social impact. Lisa joined Columbia World Projects in 2018 as the founding director of the Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University. She brings over 25 years of experience stewarding philanthropic investments to increase access and opportunity in higher education, the arts, small business development, and international affairs, and working with nonprofit and private sector organizations to design and lead capacity building programs to support people and organizations committed to solving societal challenges.
Before joining Columbia World Projects, Lisa spent a decade at Goldman Sachs, where she oversaw the administrative operations of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, directed programs and partnerships to increase higher education access in the U.S., and led the development of pro bono advisory initiatives to strengthen non-profit organizations and small businesses around the world. Her career includes developing and managing philanthropic and community impact programs at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Council on Foreign Relations, Time Warner, and TCC Group (formerly The Conservation Company consultancy). She serves on the board of the Brooklyn Arts Council and is a member of the Advisory Board at the College of Arts and Sciences at Drexel University where she also serves as a member of the board’s Academic Strategy Committee. Lisa holds a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in International Area Studies (Latin America and Economics) from Drexel University.
