Trisha Shetty
Advancing sustainable development through a gender-sensitive and youth-centric approach.
Trisha Shetty is a lawyer and full-time social activist who founded SheSays, a non-profit organization and online platform that aims to end gender-based discrimination and advance women’s rights in India by engaging youth as agents of social change. SheSays delivers gender sensitivity programs in schools, colleges, and workplaces and provides free legal, medical, and psychological healthcare information for survivors of sexual abuse and their families. Trisha has dedicated herself to addressing gender-based violence and discrimination, and advocates for women’s rights and for women and youth to have equal representation in leadership positions to enable them to advocate for themselves. She currently serves as vice president of the Steering Committee for the Paris Peace Forum, which was initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron to promote good global governance. Trisha received her bachelor’s degrees in law, psychology, and political science from the University of Mumbai.
