Elisa Goislard Nguyen
Elisa is a rising senior in the Dual Degree program between Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris, where she studies History and Political Philosophy with a focus on the SWANA region. Growing up Vietnamese in Paris, Elisa became acutely aware of how migration and racism are weaponized in nationalist politics. Since then, Elisa has been involved in grassroots advocacy in the U.S., Poland, and at the Franco-Italian border where she has worked on issues ranging from refugee resettlement to the criminalization of migrant solidarity efforts. Beyond expanding legal services to refugee and migrant communities, Elisa is passionate about creating active citizenship through education. At the Social Impact Fellowship, she hopes to see how collaboration across different disciplines can complement direct political action and drive positive change.
