Isadora Evers
Isadora Evers is a rising senior in the Dual BA with Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University, majoring in Philosophy. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., and as the child of a DJ and modern dancer, Isadora developed an ingrained belief in the power of collective action and a love of music, especially of D.C.’s own musical genre, go-go. Drawing on her passion for art, Isadora has written practical frameworks for grassroots activism to combat gentrification in D.C. and has taught, as well as designed, a philosophy course at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Through the Social Impact Fellowship, she hopes to gain the leadership skills and creative training to develop a movement that combats educational inequality and preserves cultural history through local radio, the dance floor, and arts curricula. Ultimately, Isadora seeks to blend music and justice to unveil an underlying human nature that unites rather than divides.
