Jose is a native of Ecuador and a junior at Columbia College, majoring in Psychology and Human Rights and minoring in Music. His social impact areas of interest are immigration rights, mental health, and education within New York City and its surroundings. He applied to the Social Impact Fellowship because of the opportunity to meet other individuals who are committed to social change as a career and to learn to become a better advocate for the issues he cares about.
