Milena Hartog
Milena Hartog is a junior in the School of General Studies. A former dancer who has lived across the country and abroad, Milena came to Columbia in Spring 2024 and now studies Medical Humanities. She is interested in historical, cross-cultural, and phenomenological accounts of the body and mind—and how such perspectives can be leveraged to create more attuned systems of care.
Through the Social Impact Fellowship, Milena hopes to explore how various social issues intersect and influence one another. She is especially looking forward to engaging with peers in the program and with Obama Foundation Scholars, learning from their global narratives to better understand and address psychosocial-cultural dimensions of pain and well-being.
