Javiera Gárate is a professional with experience at the intersection of environmental science and social sciences, specializing in the analysis and development of quantitative and qualitative studies. She currently works as a Project Assistant at the Center for Climate and Resilience. She holds a master's degree in environmental management from the University of Chile and she has a background in business administration from the University of Santiago of Chile. 

Gárate has worked on studies related to the assessment of socioecological problems caused by the desiccation of lagoons, the analysis of nature's contributions to people, and research focused on the dynamics of the migrant population in Chile.
