Macarena Pérez is director of Partnerships at the Chilean Institute for Disaster Resilience. Macarena is a geographer and Master in Human Settlements and Environment from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has worked in the public sector in Chile in various roles with 11 years of experience. She has held roles as executive secretary of the National System for Territorial Information Coordination of Chile, vice-president of the United Nations Regional Committee for Geospatial Information Management for the Americas in 2018-2021. Pérez teaches university courses courses related to planning and territorial analysis. In Itrend, she currently leads collaboration projects focused on the disaster resilience ecosystem.
