Eleanor Robins
Eleanor Robins is a senior at Columbia University, majoring in neuroscience and behavior. She transferred from University College London to enroll at the School of General Studies in Fall 2022. Passionate about healthcare, medicine and mental health, Eleanor is dedicated to addressing the global mental health crisis through both academic research and practical endeavors.
Prior to joining Columbia, Eleanor worked for BP, where she participated in restructuring their occupational health programs and co-authored a paper published in The Lancet, scrutinizing mental healthcare strategies. As a member of Columbia’s Policy Institute since Fall 2023, Eleanor has collaborated with Columbia’s Global Centers to investigate public health initiatives, focusing on creating accessible and scientifically informed mental health policies. This work emphasizes culturally sensitive approaches and integrates diverse disciplines to influence global mental healthcare practices.
Through the Social Impact Fellowship, Eleanor aims to refine her leadership skills, gain practical experience and connect with industry mentors. She seeks to deepen her expertise in creating sustainable healthcare solutions, leveraging the latest research and best practices to drive innovative changes that foster a more inclusive and equitable society.
