Willa Field
Willa Field is a junior at Barnard College, majoring in sociology with a minor in science, policy, and ethics. Her interdisciplinary studies, with a passion for the social determinants of health, are deeply influenced by personal experiences as an Asian woman, a survivor, and an intimate connection with loss. Her social impact interests include education equity across race, gender, and socioeconomic status, as well as campus sexual assault risk factors and preventative measures.
Driven by a passion for social justice and a commitment to addressing inequities through human-centered change on a global scale, Willa hopes, through the Social Impact Fellowship, to gain practical and professional tools to advance her change-making goals. She looks forward to building a strong network of mentorship and peer connections whose perspectives she is excited to learn from. Dedicated to propelling her academic and social passions into a career focused on social impact, Willa sees this fellowship as a pivotal step in her journey.
