Natalia Herbst and Isaiah Owolobi, members of this year’s cohort of Obama Foundation Scholars at Columbia, joined United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres at “Youth in the Driving Seat,” a January 29 panel discussion to kick off a year of events celebrating the UN’s 75th anniversary. Herbst and Owolobi sat with Guterres and other young people who live in New York to discuss how to ensure a better future for young people around the world. “I would like to see a world first of all that is actually defining what youth leadership should be, meaning young people should be in the driver’s seat,” Isaiah Owolobi said in remarks at the event.
