Applications for the 2024-2025 program has been extended until Monday, April 8 at 11:59 pm ET.
Columbia World Projects (CWP), an initiative of Columbia Global, is excited to welcome rising juniors and seniors committed to using their talents to help solve complex social problems to apply for the Social Impact Fellowship. Students at Columbia College, School of General Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Barnard College are eligible to apply.
In its third year, the Social Impact Fellowship offers a series of education and training opportunities as part of Columbia Global's mission to address complex global issues through groundbreaking scholarly pursuits, leadership development, and projects with impact.
The program begins July 2024 with a fully funded, five-week summer session designed to provide students with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge, and build new skills and capacities to pursue social impact initiatives and careers. The summer session is a competitively paid opportunity that will run from July to August at The Forum on Columbia University’s Manhattanville campus. At the conclusion of the summer session, students will remain engaged with CWP throughout the academic year to receive mentorship, complete a capstone project, and meet social impact innovators, including participants in the Obama Foundation Scholars Program.
Inspired by the Obama Foundation Scholars Program, which has welcomed 70 rising leaders from 54 countries around the world to Columbia’s campus since 2018, the Social Impact Fellowship for undergraduate students expands CWP’s commitment to educating and training the next generation of leaders.
Applications for the 2024-2025 program will be accepted until Monday, April 8 at 11:59 pm ET.
