Event details
On May 7, Columbia World Projects hosted a livestreamed public conversation between Wally Adeyemo, President of the Obama Foundation and former Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics, and Professor Glenn Hubbard, Dean Emeritus and Russell L. Carson Professor of Finance and Economics at Columbia Business School and former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. The discussion will explore broad questions about macroeconomic policy during economic crises. It will also focus on the responsibility of the university in times of economic distress to the communities that surround it, especially the most vulnerable groups.
The discussion and the audience Q&A session that follows it will be moderated by Shailagh Murray, Executive Vice President for Public Affairs at Columbia University and former Senior Advisor to President Obama. All Eventbrite registrants will receive a link to the event by email before it begins.
This event is cosponsored by Columbia Business School and the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
