Hannah Bidigare-Curtis
Hannah Bidigare-Curtis joined CWP as a Project Officer in March, 2023. Prior to CWP, they worked in partnership with NGOs to assist with programming and research in refugee settlements. Hannah has led research efforts focused on the intersection of housing, health, and self-reliance in multiple Ugandan refugee settlements, and she concurrently cultivated a passion for humanitarian aid and refugee settlement design. Hannah completed their most recent academic studies at Cornell University, where they earned a Master of Science in Human-Environment Relations. During their graduate studies, they took a leadership role within their department to promote anti-racism work and coordinated multiple speaker events for department-wide seminars. Hannah also served as an inaugural Global Racial Justice Fellow (2021-2022) through Cornell’s Einaudi Center for International Studies. Before pursuing her Master’s, she managed a nonprofit urban farming program in Cleveland, OH, employing local teens every season and teaching youth of all ages about food and sustainability. She is passionate about permaculture methods and small-scale, intensive farming techniques, and she has worked on numerous farms both domestically and internationally. Her Bachelor's degree is in Biology and Environmental Studies from Case Western Reserve University.
