Marissa Oliver
Marissa joined Columbia World Projects in October of 2022. Prior to joining CWP, she served as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist for the global digital music group, Believe where she managed the deployment of the global CSR strategy within the Americas region and led projects that worked towards creating gender equity in the music industry. Previously, she oversaw the membership program at the International Society for the Performing Arts comprised of over 450 performing arts leaders from across the globe.
Before briefly venturing into the arts, Marissa worked at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as Operations Officer for the U.S. State Department funded - European Resettlement and Integration Technical Assistance Project. In her role, she organized 17 workshops and trainings across 12 European and Eurasian countries, in addition to managing all operational and administrative functions of the project.
Her passion for international development began when she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania, leading her to complete a master’s degree in International Development Studies from George Washington University. While pursuing her degree, she worked in the evaluation department at the International Baccalaureate’s Global Center for the Americas region.
